Dr. Alasia Ledford (UNC-Chapel Hill ’23) a Hillman Scholar in Nursing Innovation and Jonas Scholar, completed her doctoral degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Throughout her life, Alasia has volunteered with non-profit organizations providing services to immigrant families, which has fueled a passion for advocacy and community engagement that persists today. Her research interests lie at the intersection of health inequities, implementation science, and the prevention of adverse maternal and child health outcomes.
