Scholar Profile

Elizabeth “Liz” Finnessy is in the 8th cohort of UNC Hillman Scholars, a Carolina Center for Public Service Community Engagement Fellow, and a research assistant for ACHIEVE. Additionally, Liz is a member of North Carolina Perinatal Association/A Coalition for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies. Finnessy graduated with her BSN at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021 with a minor in medical anthropology, and then spent 2 years working as a Labor and Delivery nurse at UNC Health. Finnessy is a former Clinician Leadership in Quality and Safety (CLQS) scholar and varsity athlete for UNC's Rowing team. In her free time, Liz enjoys spending time outdoors with friends, creating art, and learning new things.
