Erin Kennedy completed her PhD and graduated in May 2022. She is an incoming Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and lives in New York City. Her research focuses on healthcare informatics and her dissertation explored the effects of a clinical decision support system for discharge planning on post-acute care outcomes for older adults, identified common barriers to receiving optimal post-acute care, and developed a natural language processing system to detect negative patient preferences in clinical notes. While at Penn she was a T32 Predoctoral Trainee at NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health as well as an F31 Ruth L. Kirschstein Individualized NRSA Pre-Doctoral Trainee. She received the Ann Wolbert Burgess Endowed Student Award in 2022 and the Mary Naylor Undergraduate Research Award in 2019.
