Marguerite Daus

Marguerite Daus research interests include the optimization of healthcare transitions, specifically from hospital to home, in high-needs, high-risk patients. She looks to study transitional episodes from both the ambulatory and hospital settings to see what changes in the workforce could promote smoother, more equitable transitions for patients. Her dissertation focused on the association between hospitals nursing resources and older Hispanic surgical patients' readmissions. She graduated with her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. She is now an Advanced Health Services Research & Development Fellow at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Denver, Colorado.
