Nina Juntereal obtained her BSN in Nursing with a minor in Nutrition from Penn. Her research interests focus on lactation related outcomes among diverse childbearing families and critically ill infants. Nina collaborates with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Western Australia to advance the science of lactation for infants prenatally diagnosed with congenital anomalies. Her dissertation research explores the role of antenatal milk expression, the expression of colostrum during the late third trimester of pregnancy for parent-infant dyads. Nina is the Social Media and Communications Chair of the Governing Committee of the Trainee Interest Group of the International Society for Research on Human Milk and Lactation. Nina also co-teaches a virtual exchange on global heating and healthy climate at the School of Nursing.
