Scholar Profile

Hayley Germack is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Acute & Tertiary Care at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. After finishing her PhD and a post-doc in the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research, where she studied under Dr. Linda Aiken, she went on to receive advanced health services research and leadership training in the interdisciplinary National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) at Yale University. Hayley is a mental health services and workforce researcher. She is passionate about reducing disparities in health outcomes for people with serious mental illness. She teaches health care finance and policy to accelerated BSN and DNP students. She is an active member of the is AcademyHealth Interdisciplinary Research Group on Nursing Issues (IRGNI). Hayley is also a competitive distance runner.
